- Brussels Sprouts 4 cups
- Bacon, slab 1/2 lb
- onions, yellow 1 medium sized
- bacon fat 3 - 4 tbsp
- salt 1/4 tsp
- black pepper 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg 1/8 tsp
this is a family favorite recipe for the fall and winter holidays.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Clean and Cut in half the Brussel Sprouts into a large bowl.
cut bacon into not less than 1/4 inch cubes and at it to the bowl with Brussel sprouts. stir in salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
- Spread bacon fat over a flat tray. Pour Bacon and Brussel Sprouts to one level with the cut half facing down to roast the cut side to a light brown color.
Bake until golden around edges.
