Ingredients

  • Brussels Sprouts 4 cups
  • Bacon, slab 1/2 lb
  • onions, yellow 1 medium sized
  • bacon fat 3 - 4 tbsp
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • black pepper 1/4 tsp
  • nutmeg 1/8 tsp

this is a family favorite recipe for the fall and winter holidays.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Clean and Cut in half the Brussel Sprouts into a large bowl.
    cut bacon into not less than 1/4 inch cubes and at it to the bowl with Brussel sprouts. stir in salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. Spread bacon fat over a flat tray. Pour Bacon and Brussel Sprouts to one level with the cut half facing down to roast the cut side to a light brown color.
    Bake until golden around edges.
