Blood Orange, Lavender Honey and Ginger Glaze

Ingredients

  • Blood Orange Zest 2 large
  • salt to taste
  • sugar 1 cup
  • lavender honey 1 cup
  • ginger, powder 2 TBSP
  • water 2 cups

Directions

  1. Combine zest, salt and water in a medium pot on medium.
  2. cook until the liquid comes to a boil.
  3. strain out the zest and reserve liquid in pot.
  4. add in honey and sugar and ginger.
  5. Reduce liquid by 1/2 on low.
  6. This glaze is done when it is as thick as syrup.

This glaze is best served with ham, chicken or duck.
